"Since renovating, it doesn't have the same "Mom and Pop" feel, but it's still pretty nice on the inside, and the comfort food is still very comforting. The staff is fun, our waitress wasn't as attentive, but they were starting to get busy, so I can understand the level of care we received."

"1st visit to The 4 Star Diner. I'm giving them 5 stars on food, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness. I had turkey dinner and hubby had liver and onions (don't knock it until you try it). The atmosphere reminds me of an upscale 50's restaurant. Love the lights, the wallpaper and the music they play. You've got to visit them."

"I only gave 4 stars on food because I like my eggs fried hard ... they almost had them hard ... the yoke was still moist but not runny so I was able to eat it ! Portions are big for my appetite. Every waitress ive had is attentive and polite. I really like the new updates. Its very pretty ."

"I was told that the Four Star Dinner in Cortland, Ohio had some great burgers. So I stopped in the other day to see for myself. Parking wasn't an issue, they had street parking, a back lot & side lot. I was greeted to a cozy dining area with a very inviting atmosphere. My seating options were counter, table or booth, I always go for the table. My server was polite & friendly. She helped me with making my dinner selection. I looked over the menu, a great selection of comfort foods. A nice selection of breakfast, lunch & dinner entrees along with burgers and sandwiches. My burger was served up quick, nice and hot. I must say, the burger was absolutely delicious, I really enjoyed it. I had a very nice & enjoyable dining experience here. I strongly recommend that you give this place a try."

"lovely owner. food was hot , generous portion sizes. husband had chicken fried steak which he raved about. "This was our first visit to 4 Star since the "refresh." The ambiance is definitely elevated with the improvements that were made to the decor and furnishings. The general level of cleanliness in the dining room is much improved, except for the ceiling tiles, which appear untoched and in similar condition to our original visit and photos. As stated in other reviews, it is the same exact menu as before the "refresh." I get it if you don't adopt everything that's recommended by the professionals, but to completely revert to your old ways is clearly a stubbornness and unwillingness to change. Our server was prompt, friendly, and cognizant. Before reaching the table, she realized my wife's order was wrong and she immediately brought it back to the kitchen. We had breakfast this time and the food was good. Nothing "amazing" but nothing to complain about either. Being "OK" isn't going to garner a whole lot of repeat customers, or attract new people to go out of their way to visit your obscure location once the celebrity buzz wears off. When I think of eating out, there's nothing here I would crave. I can get the same or better at a dozen other places elsewhere. Overall, 4 Star got a much needed makeover of its dining room and publicity boost, but that's about it. Everything else is back at or headed back to the way it was - in decline. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of participating in the "refresh" in the first place."
